Grafts taken from the original trees in the allotment were planted to produce 53 saplings, with further plans to develop the pilot project into a community-run tree nursery to preserve and propagate the varieties. In February 2023, the pair were part of a team who set up a plant nursery in Ryton Gardens, Coventry.
